QR Code Issues
Some iPads are having issues scanning QR codes in the camera app after updating to iOS 18. The problem seems to be fixed in iOS 18.1, which we are currently testing. If you're experiencing scanning issues, please update your iPad to the latest software. If you are still having issues after updating, please email help@oes141.org.

Calculator App
The calculator app has been removed from all iPads running iOS 18. We will continue to release updates for iPads running versions earlier than iOS 18 to ensure the app is removed from all devices.
We are excited to share that the ZSpace lab has undergone an exciting transformation. The company has phased out the familiar desktop model we cherished, streamlining our lab setup and expanding our capabilities from 14 desktop devices to 26 laptops, enhancing flexibility and learning opportunities.
Reading Specialists now have access to color printing. The district office approved this plan.

Jamf Trust
❗️Update❗️
Jamf released an app update that appears to have fixed the issue. We pushed the update to the devices running 11.39.1. If you are still having issues, please restart your iPad!
We've received reports of iOS devices being connected to the internet but unable to load any web pages.
Upon investigation, we've found that this issue specifically affects iOS devices with Jamf Trust 11.39.1. This bug impacts approximately 2% of our iOS devices.
As a temporary measure, we've disabled Jamf Trust's update capability until Jamf addresses the issue. The devices are still filtered.

Layer 3 Swap @ JES
After multiple days of switch failures at Jefferson, we replaced the layer 3 switch with a functional one. We were offline for roughly 25 minutes to replace the old unit and install the new device.
We have been online and functional!! 🥳

Carousel
We are excited to launch Carousel. This program will allow us to leverage the classroom TVs as digital signage for building and district communication.
Most classrooms displayed a clock app. This is a great way to replace that.

Frontline SSO Login
We have connected Frontline to Google SSO so employees can authenticate with Frontline using their Google account. We are attempting to improve user experience by reducing the number of passwords our staff must remember to participate in our systems.
🚨Please don't click the Frontline logo yet. It will not let you log in via the mobile app since we are still in testing mode. This will work once we are live! 🚨
Once we have communicated the change, we will activate SSO. Additionally, we will update the OES-141 Link to read Frontline-Timeoff and direct them to the new login link.
Below are the instructions:
We are actively gathering data on iPads that appear connected to Wi-Fi but will not load websites or applications. 🛜
At this point, it seems like a small amount iPads, but enough to cause a slight disruption. My team has been updated to check for a few particular things to see if we can address the issue.
We have ruled out a lot of the variables already. We feel that It is isolated in Jamf Trust, our web filter. Please be patient as we collect some additional data.
